Raising awareness and promoting Human Rights
Team Romania


The dissemination activity was executed in the high school of the Romanian team, with the participation of 30 teenagers. The purpose was to disseminate the outcomes of Youth Exchange “Islamofobia – hate free Europe”. The students raised awareness among their peers about the causes of Islamophbia and its impact on Muslim people, encouraging them to combat discrimination and promote an inclusive and tolerant society.

Team Netherlands

Haidar Hawilo made a stunning presentation in front of his peers at university as part of the dessimination process to talk about the intended outcome of hatespeech of Islamophobia. He explained the dynamics and perpetuation of such acts and how it is strongly advised to speak up when matters.
After the presentation, a discussion session was held, where the students could exchange their experience with the topic and further raise awareness on the issue.

Team Spain


Alba, from the Spanish team, recently had the opportunity to deliver an informative session where she spoke about her experiences within a youth project, specifically focusing on the challenges and realities of islamophobia. It was an incredibly meaningful experience to share her personal journey and insights, aiming to foster greater understanding and promote a more inclusive environment for all. It’s vital to bring these conversations to the forefront, especially in intercultural spaces dedicated to young people.

Team Italy

The Italian team created a PowerPoint presentation in which they shared their experience in Bansko and addressed the topic of Islamophobia, using the knowledge that the participants gained throughout the project. The Italian team also presented the various activities related to the project. The presentation was held at the Forum dei Giovani in Vico Equense, where they invited several members of the forum, as well as friends and family. At the end of the presentation, there was a discussion about the project and the challenges we face as a society altogether.

Team Bulgaria


The Bulgarian team held a presentation in front of their peers at school. It was discussed how Islamophobia is affecting the Muslims in the different countries and how to manage it if you are experiencing it personally. Raising awareness, especially in mixed religious schools is vital in order to balance the atmosphere and have peaceful and meaningful experience at school.

Team Turkiye
On July 8, Salih from the Turkish team, presented the dissemination of the Islamophobia project in Bansko to a diverse group of young people aged 18–25 from various countries. Salih shared the main goals, activities, and outcomes of the project, and explained how the participants of the project transformed the message of the project into art through graffiti. The artwork aimed to visually express the importance of tolerance, inclusion, and the fight against Islamophobia. Following the presentation, Salih engaged the participants in an open discussion by asking them what they had learned from the dissemination and how it changed their perspective on discrimination. This created a meaningful and reflective environment for dialogue and sharing


Team North Macedonia
The Macedonian team organized local discussion in order to raise awareness in their community about the hot topic of Islamophobia in Europe. During the event, the team presented what was executed during the project and the activities. The Macedonians challenged stereotypes, promoted mutual respect, and fostered social inclusion. By engaging youth, educators, and community leaders, the team created safe space for discussion and learning while highlighting the importance of solidarity and human rights. These efforts are part of a broader commitment to building a more tolerant and understanding society for all.
